Davila Texans a Month in Review - December 2018

The first semester truly flew by!  Our scholars have been busy and have accomplished so much already this school year; the stars are truly the limit!  We are excited to watch, help, and guide all of our scholars as they continue to grow and accomplish their goals and dreams!

This past month, scholars have been learning about Philanthropy; where we explored how we all could promote the welfare of others, particularly with our involvement in the KBTX Food for Families food drive and our Essential Eight Penny Drive. We collected coins during Texan Success to be donated to local charities.

Many of our scholars and teachers really got into the spirit of giving and we were able to donate generously!

Basketball is in full swing!   Recently our Texan 7th grade boys placed fourth in a tournament in Navasota and 8th grade boys placed second! With about one month more to go of basketball season, our Texan Basketball Teams are sure to continue to dominate the court!

Our scholars have shown their stuff in December with the Choir, Orchestra, and Band Concerts.  As well as, the Dance Extravaganza and the Kickstart Belt Ceremony! Performances well received and parents enjoyed seeing what their scholars have been working so hard on since August!  Texans have shown their dedication and hard work pay off this past month!

We are looking forward to see what the New Year has in store for our scholars.  As we settle into January, we will be focusing on the Essential Eight characteristic of Work Ethic.  We will be learning what it means to have a strong work ethic while we get back into the swing of the new semester.

We would like to continue to show our appreciation to our wonderful Texan Parents and Guardians.  With your support, our scholars are making the most of their education!
